Laying rails on the bridge between Russia and China across the Amur River is completed. On Tuesday, August 17, the builders closed the Russian and Chinese part of the railway canvas, reports TASS with reference to China Central Television.
The transition of Nizhneveninskoe – Tongjiang will be the first railway bridge between the countries. Of the 2.2 kilometers of the total length on the Russian side account for 309 meters.
The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour, bandwidth is 21 million tons of cargo per year. Russia involves exporting iron ore, coal, mineral fertilizers and forest through the bridge.
The bridge is designed for alternately skipping compositions along the way with the rings of two standards – Chinese with a width of 1435 millimeters and Russian with a width of 1520 millimeters. In February of this year, the Governor of the Jewish Autonomous Okrug Rostislav Goldstein argued that test formulations would be able to go on the bridge in August.
Last year, commissioning of the first automotive bridge to China connecting Blagoveshchensk and Chinese Heihe was allowed. It is assumed that up to three million people per year will be able to move on it after removing coronavirus restrictions.
