Against the background of the exacerbation of the situation in Afghanistan, where the police moved to representatives of the Taliban radical movement (prohibited in Russia), the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan decided to strengthen the vigilance of the Armed Forces (Sun) of the Republic. This is reported on the website of the country’s defense department.
According to the ministry, the measures will affect the employees of the forces of special operations, the units of air defense (air defense), as well as front and military transport aircraft of Kazakhstan. In order to increase the vigilance, the Minister of Defense Nurlan Ermekbaev of the Republic instructed to organize round-the-clock duty of forces and means for continuous tracking of the situation in the region.
“It is necessary to constantly evaluate the emerging risks and determine that for us the most relevant currently, where to direct the main efforts,” Ermekbaev said. He added that at a meeting of the defense department, it was also decided to call for the service of officers of the stock, which will increase the deficiency of the army in the conditions of a shortage of narrow-profile specialists.
Earlier in the organization of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) announced large-scale military exercises near the Tajik-Afghan border. The collective forces of the organization began preparation for the teachings that will be held in the coming months.
On August 15, the militants of the “Taliban” radical movement (prohibited in Russia) reported control over the entire territory of Afghanistan. The radicals noted that in the near future will be announced the creation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
