Several dozen countries made a joint statement on the situation in Afghanistan. The document is distributed to the US Department of State, RIA Novosti reports.
The application was supported by more than 60 states, including the United States, Canada, European countries, some states of Africa, Latin America and Oceania. Countries encouraged to ensure the safe departure of foreigners and local residents who want to leave Afghanistan, keep open roads, airports and border crossings, as well as maintain calm.
The final responsibility for the lives of people, protection of property, restoring security and civil order is those who possess the authorities in the country at the moment, stressed the signatory, meaning the representatives of the Taliban radical movement (prohibited in the Russian Federation). “The Afghan people deserves to live safe and worthy. We are ready to help them in the international community,” the statement says.
