Japan planned to apply a bacteriological bomb in 1944. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to documents, for the first time declassified by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
about such intention of Tokyo became known from the protocols of interrogations of the last Commander-in-chief of the Kwantunian army of the Rodzo Yamada, conducted under the Khabarovsk process. According to the documents, the former commander-in-chief of the witness of Matsumura, who said that the Japanese General heard a report on the use of the bacteriological bomb of the “Issi system” in the fall of 1944. Yamada also confirmed that it approved this report, noted in protocols.
The bacteriological bomb “Systems of Ici” was developed during World War II as a demonstration of the possibility of the most efficient use of weapons of this type. Its main features consisted in the ceramic building, inside which there were plague fleas. According to the idea, the bomb exploded at an altitude of 50-100 meters, which ensured the locality and the spread of the plague.
Earlier, the FSB first declassified evidence of the preparation of Japan to war from the USSR. The so-called “Secret War Service Guide” was also published, which contained the main provisions of the interrogation of prisoners of war. According to this document, the military of Japan at the end of World War II prepared sophisticated prisoners to dust, therefore the General Staff of the Quantong Army issued a special instruction with the description of the methods of torture.
