Russia mulling to introduce a new tax deduction

The President of the National Fitness Community Elena Silina proposed to introduce a tax deduction for companies that pay the fitness of their employees. Her words leads.

According to Silina, the development of corporate sports will contribute to the increase in the number of people involved in systematic classes and sports of people involved in systematic classes. A specialist believes that this requires to introduce a tax deduction for employers who pay for the sport of their employees.

“The fitness industry has a serious potential in the implementation of national tasks aimed at increasing the share of physically active population to 55 percent by 2024 and up to 70 percent by 2030,” said Silin.

The National Fitness Community has recommended the payment for sports for the cost of the enterprise to reduce the taxable base. In addition, the organization proposed to reduce property and land taxes for landlords that provide platforms for physical education and health facilities.

It is noted that these proposals are made to the People’s Folk Survey of the United Russia Party, which is planned to be approved on August 24.

In May 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to develop a law on the introduction of a tax deduction for fitness citizens. Costs for classes will reduce the database on the income tax.

In April 2021, the dates of returning to the Russians for sports and fitness were named. It turned out that deduction on the income tax (NDFL) when spending on sports and fitness can be obtained in 2023.
