For the crew commander of the ISS-66 Anton Dracker and his Dubler Oleg Artemyeva, the examination session continued with tests on a specialized simulator “Tele operator”.
This simulator is designed to prepare cosmonauts to implement the mode of teleoperator manual control (Tora) with the mooring and docking to the nodes of the Russian segment of the unmanned spacecraft: cargo ships, retrofitting modules and others. There is an automatic docking, but if this does not happen, you need to switch to manual process control.
As part of the crew of the 66th Expedition on the ISS, which should begin in October of the current year, only one professional cosmonaut, the rest will fly in the status of space flight participants to implement the artistic and educational project “Challenge”. The nearest expedition to orbit will be accompanied by intense work, including those associated with the string and docking of various spacecraft. These skills were repeatedly worked out on the simulator “Tele operator”.
During the current session, Anton, the Sabeler and his Dubler will have to be given another exam on the same simulator – according to the telegraduate manual control of the Transport Cargo Ship-MM-MO-MOD, as part of which the nodular module “berth”. The removal of a new module on the near-earth orbit and the inclusion in the Russian segment of the ISS is planned in November of this year.
In early September, the MKS-66 crews will begin comprehensive exam training. Recall that the main crew includes Anton Sluffers, Julia Peresilde and Klim Shipenko, and in Duplicating – Oleg Artemyev, Alena Mordovina, Alexey Dudin.
