According to him, some elements of one of the infantry battalions of the marine infantry hull are already in Kabul, the main part of the contingent, consisting of three thousand US military personnel will be transferred to Afghanistan until the end of the weekend. It is reported that the brigade group of the 82nd airborne division of the Army (Ground Forces) of the United States, which should be transferred to Kuwait.

Kirby also noted that the United States is ready to adjust its military presence in Afghanistan, depending on the situation.

“We will follow a daily basis as a security situation develops. If we need to make any changes in one direction or another, we will do it. But this will be directly dependent on the security situation”, – said Kirby.
