From September 1, in Riga, the prices of heat for heat will jump at once 27 percent. This is reported by Telegram-channel Sputnik. Since the beginning of autumn, the tariff for heat supply will be 57.31 euros per megawatt-hour (MWH) – this is 26.6 percent more than the current tariff (45.27 euros per megawatt-hour).
As warned in the price regulation commissions, this is due to the sharp rise in price of gas on European stock exchanges. It is reported that in July, the Gaspool price of Gaspool was five times higher than 2020 in the German Exchange. The main supplier of thermal energy purchased by the RS – Concern AS Latvenergo – has already announced an planning increase in its rates. The remaining independent thermal energy providers will also increase price.
The tenants were advised to contact the house management to revise the set temperature regime. Properly selected temperature regime, according to representatives of the supplier, will reduce the total heat consumption in apartment buildings. The company reported that every degree of heat inside the apartment increases the score for thermal energy by 5 percent.
In January, it became known that thermal power plants operating on the waste of the woodworking industry will appear in the Russian Arctic and in the Far East. Thanks to this, residents of remote and isolated areas will be provided with warmth and light derived from renewable energy sources.
