The US Ministry of Agriculture has reduced the forecast for the collection of wheat in Russia in the current agricultural year, which lasts from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. This is stated in the relevant review, reports TASS.
As believed in the ministry, the volume of wheat collection during the specified period will be 72.5 million tons instead of 85 million tons predicted earlier. The forecast of the export of raw materials has also decreased by 5 million tons – up to 35 million tons.
It is noted that the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia assesses the volume of wheat exports in the current agricultural genesis of 37.5 million tons with a yield of 81 million tons.
Previously, the forecast for the collection of wheat was dramatically worsened in Russia itself. Thus, the institution of the agricultural market situation (ICAR) reduced the expected indicator from 81.5 to 78.5 million tons, and the analytical center “Council” – from 82.3 to 76.4 million tons.
