The authorities confirmed that the Radical Movement of the Taliban (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) captured Kandahar, the second largest city of Afghanistan. It is reported by Associated Press.
According to officials, the city fell in the evening of August 12. It is assumed that local authorities and their surroundings fled to the airport to leave Kandahar.
