Ambassador of Russia in London commented on detention of “Russian spy”

Great Britain’s authorities did not appeal to the Russian embassy in London on the detention of a citizen of Britain suspected of espionage at the special services of Russia. This was stated by the head of the Russian diplomission in London Andrei Kelin, reports TASS.

According to him, when meeting with high-ranking employees from the London Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense, no one raised the topic of the “Russian Spy” caught in Germany.

Earlier, the German Foreign Minister Khaiko Maas commented on the statements about the British agent, who collaborated with Russia and stated that it would be in every way to maintain an investigation. The diplomat noted that it has not yet contacted colleagues from the UK on the capture of the alleged criminal.

On August 11, the General Procurator of Germany reported that the federal criminal police officers detained a 57-year-old British named David S. in Potsdam on suspicion of work on Russian special services. Scotland Yard confirmed this information.

British Tabloid The Daily Mail published photos of the apartment of the alleged “Russian spy”. On the shelves there are books on the military historical and spyware, including the red partisans in the rear of the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, a mug with the inscription Russia and the flags of the Black Sea Fleet. There are many teddy toys in the apartment, on some of which army caps are put.
