American designer of knitted clothes accused the Chinese manufacturer of cheap shein things in the mass theft of its designs. Interviews with her publishes Dazed.
New York Prado resident published a series of posts , in which he stated Shein copied 45 design items of the wardrobe, which she created for his own brand for three years. “Why Shein sells my clothes to millions of buyers who do not recognize about my existence,” she was indignant.
According to the fashion designer, on the website of the Chinese store, she noticed similar to its products tops, suits, shorts, dresses and skirts. It is noted that the original cost of most things sold on Shein is cheaper than 20 dollars (1400 rubles), varies from 150 to 300 dollars (from 11 to 22 thousand rubles), since all Prado products are performed by hand.
“I contacted Retailer representatives, but they prefer to ignore the problem, so I have to talk about it publicly. – The designer complained. It seems to me that the mass market is never responsible for theft of designs, so continues to steal them.”
Dazed employees contacted Shein to clarify the current situation, but did not receive a response.
A similar situation arose with the Russian O’Stin brand, which was caught in the theft of the famous design created by an art group A.D.e.d. One of the artists shared a snapshot of the bags worth 1.3 thousand rubles to which white inscriptions in graffiti style were applied. According to representatives of the Art Association, O’Stin copied the idea that was developed by them within the framework of the collaboration with the Off-White brand for the Moscow Concept-Storm KM20.
