Lukashenko explained “decent struggle” with Covid-19 in Belarus

To date, Belarus successfully copes with a coronavirus pandemic, and the people have no reason for concern. This was stated by the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting on the development of antiviral vaccines, BelTA reports.

According to him, the authorities do not see the need to introduce additional measures to combat infection, as the states “with the so-called developed democracy” do. He stressed that the country will not allow the politicization of the pandemic, which he considers “shirma for the geological redistribution of the world.”

Politician added that about 800 million dollars have already been spent on the fight against the virus, and only one unresolved problem remained – the completion of the development of its own vaccine. “Once again, I want to assure everyone: we cope with this misfortune at a decent level. Without excessive information noise, political trezg,” said the Belarusian leader.

On August 9, Belarus asked Russia to provide a new loan through the Eurasian Development Bank. Money is needed to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Lukashenko explained that Minsk needs a new loan after the refusal of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to give money to fight a pandemic, since the oppositionists who fled abroad organized international organizations to abandon financial assistance to the republic.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic, from the beginning of the pandemic in Belarus, more than 336 thousand people became coronavirus, more than two thousand patients became victims of infection. In early April, it became known that in Belarus for the year three times increased the rate of reduction of population.
