Scientists from the National University of Singapore conducted a study, as a result of which they found out that the particles infected with COVID-19 are transmitted not only for coughing or sneezing. Specialists suggested that Coronavirus can be infected even in the conversation process, the TASS reports with reference to the Straits Times newspaper.
One of the authors of the work, Professor Paul Tambia explained that in the process of breathing, conversation and singing, small particles are formed, whose size maximizes five micrometers. Such elements contain more virus components than larger particles.
Professor Christine Konman added that the largest number of dangerous coronavirus particles was distributed in some patients when conversation. According to the scientist, this is due to an involuntary increase in the voice during the conversation.
Tambia also clarified that, as part of the study, scientists were engaged in the slowdown in the proliferation of coronavirus. So, when conversing, the probability of becoming infected with COVID-19 reduces a certain circulation of air, which is formed by the location of furniture, fans. In addition, the distance between people helps reduce the concentration of dangerous elements. Scientists called on people to observe the mask regime not only in the premises, but on the street.
Earlier it was reported that in the United States because of the coronavirus began to more often hospitalize children. Since the end of July, more than 200 children with COVID-19 will be taken to hospitals every day.
