President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed the Government to develop an answer to new sanctions of the West. This was reported on August 10, his spokesman Natalia Eismont reported, BelTA reports.
“The head of state instructed the government to develop a complex of additional measures against the next sanctivation turn. Belarus will not remain in debt. As far as possible, we will take response,” Eismont assured.
Previously, the United States introduced new sanctions against Belarus. The National Olympic Committee, the company and enterprises of the defense, energy sectors engaged in the tobacco, potash industry, transport and construction industries have come under restrictions. Sanctions apply to people whose Washington considers it involved in violation of human rights.
Great Britain also introduced new economic restrictions on Minsk, which touched the potash fertilizers, petroleum products and goods used in the production of cigarettes. New sanctions accepted Canada.
