According to Insider, on August 11, the Russian official will meet with the President of Maya Sanda, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa, as well as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nika Popesku and Vice Prime Minister Vladislav Kulmin. “This visit should not be politicized and associated exclusively with the discussion of political problems,” said the agency’s source.

He explained that in addition to resolving the situation around Tiraspol, the parties will discuss many other issues, including concerning the import of Russian gas, exports of Moldovan agricultural products and co-combat Coronavirus. “We are talking about economic relations, about the resumption of the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Relations, which has not conducted meetings since 2017,” the source added.

Kozak makes a visit to Chisinau at the invitation of Sanda. Earlier, she announced the need to restore the dialogue with Russia and assured that countries need to quickly discuss issues of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, politicians stressed that negotiations should be conducted at the level of governments and, possibly, the heads of two states.
