Court sentenced Belarusian Kickboxer extradited from Russia

Court in Minsk sentenced to 2.5 years of the colony of the promotion of a multiple champion of the world champion in kickboxing and Thai boxing Alexey Kadda under the artworks. The message about it appeared in the Telegram channel of the Human Rights Center “Spring”.

The decision turned out to be softer than the prosecutor’s office requested – 2.5 years instead of 3.5 years. The court found that an athlete during a protest event on August 10, 2020 threatened to apply force to law enforcement officers, and later escaped to Russia to get away from punishment.

In February, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus sent a request for the extradition of Alexei Kudina to Russia. The fighter was placed in the SIZO in Zelenograd, and at the end of July secretly was taken out of the successor, despite the decision of the ECHR. As the source in the sports solidarity foundation told Lente.ru, five people participated in this special operation, three of whom were employees of Minsk riot police.

Later, the kickboxer recorded the appeal from the Minsk SIZO, where he asked the opposition to not use his name and achieve advantage of his own interests, and also declared support for the President of Alexander Lukashenko. He also declared the readiness to suffer punishment for participating in protest actions and “redeem wine.”
