Fraudsters in Russia will have opportunity to legally take loans

Legal conflict in Russian laws created a legal loophole for fraudsters. They will be able to receive loans, despite the bad credit history (KI), writes Kommersant.

Kollisia creates the provisions of the Central Bank, entering into force next year, and already existing government decree. The search will be only on the passport, from which the authorities allowed to remove information about previously issued identity documents.

As a result, fraudsters can get the opportunity to take loans. A borrower with a bad credit history can simply declare the loss of a passport, and having received a new one, to seek loan. “At the same time, the Bank will report to the credit history bureaus (BKI) that this borrower has no credit history. As a result, unscrupulous citizens have an inventive fraud tool,” said the head of the National Financial Market Council (NSFR). He attached to add to the list of identifiers to search for credit history INN and SNILS.

Previously, Russians warned about the new trick of bank fraudsters. The attackers began to use the scheme with allegedly pre-approved loans. Potential victims receive fake messages about pre-approved or issued loans, after which they call fraudsters on behalf of the Bank’s security service or the prosecutor’s office. Then the attackers offer their victims to cancel the loan using the personal data of the client.
