The Chinese authorities will create a black list of karaoke-songs that contain “illegal content”. This is reported to The Guardian, with reference to the statement of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the country.
The prohibition will fall on compositions that threaten national unity, sovereignty or territorial integrity of the state. The Chinese government intends to severely regulate the “tasteless” content, which promotes religious cults and superstition, encourages gambling and drug distribution.
New standards to touch first of all track suppliers. They will be responsible for auditing songs. The basic music library, which is almost 50 thousand vehicles, consists of more than 100 thousand compositions. This greatly makes it difficult for operators to identify illegal music.
