Details of first death from new incurable fever are disclosed

The World Health Organization (WHO) revealed the details about the newly incurable fever of Marburg, which is similar to Ebora previously spread through the African continent. This is reported by the British edition Metro.

The first death from the new virus Marburg was recorded in Guinea on August 10. The man died on August 2, and the symptoms of the disease began to appear on July 25. Three members of the deceased family are under the supervision of doctors.

According to WHO, the mortality rate from the virus Marburg reaches 88 percent. It is reported that it can be transmitted from animals to a person, in particular the virus transferred volatile mice. Moreover, a person can get infected from another person through contact with fluids of the body infected. Fever is manifested through standard symptoms – high temperature, severe headache and discomfort in the body. In some patients diagnose bleeding through eyes and ears.

“We work with health authorities to take quickly response measures based on the past experience and knowledge of Guinea in the fight against Ebola’s fever, which is transmitted in the same way,” said Matshidiso Moeti, director of the African Bureau of WHO Matshidiso Moeti.

Officials stated that the threat emanating from the virus is currently “high” at the national and regional level, but low on a global scale.

In February, four deaths of Ebola fever were recorded in Guinea for the first time since 2016. Female outcomes were in the southeastern province of Nzerkeore.
