Estonian authorities declared an emergency situation in the country due to the deterioration of the situation with a coronavirus infection pandemic and increasing the risks of infection. About this August 11 reports err.ee.
“At the moment, the provision of planned treatment is not yet violated, but, unfortunately, we were again in a situation where it is necessary to open additional beds for patients with Coronavirus,” said the Director General of the Health Department Yullar Lanno.
According to him, patients who have not passed the vaccination are mainly in hospitals. “This gives hope that the need for inpatient treatment will remain more modest compared to the peak during the last wave of coronavirus,” added Lanno.
Last year, an emergency health situation was announced in Estonia, when 63 patients with coronavirus were in hospitals. She was canceled on July 1, 2021. Now in hospitals are also 63 patients with COID-19.
