European Commission refused to finance wall between Lithuania and Belarus

The European Commission will not finance the construction of the wall between Lithuania and Belarus from the EU money. The fact that the executive body of the EU refuses to allocate funds to this, the representative of Ek Adalbert Yanz declared at Briefing in Brussels, TASS reports.

“The European Commission does not consider faithful to finance the construction of barriers and barriers from EU funds. Therefore, the financing of this infrastructure facility should not be carried out from the EU funds,” the Agency of the official of the official leads. According to him, funding from the European Block should go to as much as possible projects, in particular – to create a full-fledged border control system.

He also commented on the words of the European Commissioner to resolve the crises of YANZA Lenarchich: he previously stated that the construction of the wall in the Lithuanian-Belarusian border could be useful. Yantz stressed that the refusal to finance from the EC does not mean that the wall cannot be effective.
