The Russian government has changed his mind to introduce a ban on gasoline export as one of the measures to stabilize the situation in the fuel market. This is reported by the newspaper “Kommersant” with reference to sources.
According to the publication, such a decision was made at the Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novaku with Pethekompany. One of the arguments for this was the allegedly outlined trend on reducing export parity due to the fact that oil fell below $ 70 per barrel. In addition, the decision was made to make the assurance of oil workers about the growth of the offer on the stock exchange, the interlocutor of Kommersant was told.
The fact that Russian Ministry of Energy offered to the government to issue an instruction on the launch of the procedure for banning gasoline exports in an expedited manner, reported at the end of July. It was about the limitation of the export of brands AI-92 and AI-95 for a period of three months.
At the same time, the threats of Russian authorities about the ban on exports of gasoline could not stop the rise in prices for it. The cost of AI-92 at the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange grew on August 3 by 0.3 percent, to record 57.602 thousand rubles per ton.
