The European Union (EU) supported the introduction of new sanctions against Belarus by the United States, Canada and Great Britain. This is August 9 reports TASS with reference to the foreign policy community service.
The document also notes that the EU will continue to put pressure on the regime of the President of the Republic of Alexander Lukashenko until all political prisoners are released, and in the country “meaningful dialogue will not begin and free and independent elections will not be held.”
Earlier, a new package of restrictions against Minsk was accepted in the United States. The American leader Joe Biden stated that the illegal actions of Minsk are a serious threat to the national security and foreign policy of Washington.
