Satellite Internet Ilona Mask scored a record speed 10 August

Satellite Internet Ilona Mask in the United States has reached the speed of broadband Internet connection. This is reported on the Speedtest service website from Ookla.

Company specialists analyzed the speed of Starlink around the world and compared it with the indicators of other providers and Internet services. The report showed that in some regions the speed Starlink approaches the speed of the usual wired Internet. Also, satellite network from Ilona Mask exceeds its competitors in this segment.

In particular, in the second quarter of the year in the US, the average speed of StarLink scored a record 97.23 megabit per second. According to experts, it is not far from the average speed of broadband Internet connections in the region, which is 115.22 megabits per second. The actual loading speed through the starlink and the broadband compound is 13.89 and 17.18 megabits per second, respectively.

In the markets of Canada, New Zealand and Great Britain, the StarLink offer is preferable to the proposal of traditional providers. For example, in Canada, the speed of StarLink and traditional Internet compounds amounted to 86.92 and 84.24 megabits per second, respectively. In New Zealand – 127.02 and 78.85 megabits per second, in the UK – 108.3 and 50.14 megabits per second, respectively.

Also, Ookla analysts found out that the Ilona Mask service is currently superior to its competitors. For example, the average speed of the popular Hughesnet satellite provider amounted to 19.73 megabits per second.

In early August, it became known that the number of users of the Starlink satellite Internet approached the mark of 90 thousand. At the end of June, Ilon Mask promised that in a year 500 thousand users will be connected to StarLink.
