The militants of the “Taliban” radical movement (prohibited in the Russian Federation) seized three key cities in Afghanistan in one day – Kunduz, Sar-E-bullets and Talukan. It is reported by the New York Times.
First, the Taliban captured Kunduz – the administrative center of the province of the same name and the most important strategic point near the border with Tajikistan. Immediately after the capture of Kunduz, the militants swung at Sar E-bullets and Talukan. According to some information, the Taliban kill civilians.
The situation in Afghanistan is rapidly deteriorating. Last week, the militants captured the northern province of Jauzdzhan and the capital of the South-West Province of Nizruz, the city of Zaranj. In addition, residents of the Afghan city of Lashkaryg, besieged by the Taliban, were urgently evacuated in safe areas.
Director of the Second Department of Asia Foreign Minister and Special Representative of the President of Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov said that Russia is ready for the parish of Taliban to power. However, the diplomat itself considers such a development of events unrealistic.
