Chinese officials were punished for outbreak of COVID-19

Chinese officials in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, punished over the COVID-19 flash, reports Global Times.

It is noted that 15 officials were punished for the inability to keep the outbreak of coronavirus infection at Nanjing Luko International Airport, from which it spread across the country.

Among those who accused are urban officials, officials are higher than the rank and airport staff. So, the head of the urban health commission for the health of Fana Zhongyu was removed from the post for a bad job and received a “serious warning”. Currently, in relation to several other officials, an investigation is conducted, and it is possible that the list of perpetrators will be replenished.

Deputy General Director of Eastern Airports, which manages the work on controlling infection at the airport, GROUP WANA PJSC detained the intended neglect of official duties. It is noted that it led to “great losses and extremely serious consequences.”
