In the last days, Belarus does everything in order to provoke an increase in the flow of migrants to Europe. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs by Macia Vasik, Reuters quotes it.
In his opinion, such actions – revenge Minsk for Belarusian athlete Christina Timanovskaya, which is located in Warsaw. Vasik claims that the Belarusian authorities unleashed a hybrid war against the European Union.
Timanovskaya flew to Warsaw on August 4th. Before that, the athlete was in the diplomatic representation of Poland for several days and received a visa of this country. The National Olympic Committee of Belarus excluded it from the national team at the Olympics in Tokyo on August 1. The opposition fund of sports solidarity stated that the athlete tried to take out forcibly from Tokyo. A few days before that, the athlete criticized the Belarusian sports officials.
The migration crisis at the borders of Belarus and the European Union began at the end of May. According to the Lithuanian authorities, the influx of illegal immigrants has already exceeded the same indicators of 2020. Vilnius accuses the meeting of Minsk and personally by President Alexander Lukashenko.
