Scientists of Sevastopol State University began to develop a fluid that can be breathed under water at a huge depth. This is reported in a press release on the SDUNUKI website.rf.
Liquid ventilation technology of lungs provides for the creation of a special square, which is able to withstand pressure at the depth of the Mariana depression (about 11 kilometers). A respiratory fluid will be poured into the space system, which can be breathed – the oxygen containing the blood substitute for a perfoore, which is already applied in medical practice.
Researchers carry out the system tests in a special pipe depth 2.5 meters equipped with various sensors and video surveillance cameras. The perforant is an emulsion based on perfluorinated organic compounds, in which all hydrogen atoms are replaced by fluorine atoms. Experiments have already demonstrated the principled opportunity to deliver oxygen into light animals and people.
According to scientists, the technology will change the operation of the divers. When immersing an aqualant to a depth of more than 60 meters, there is already a serious risk to health, and a diver, operating at a depth of 500 meters, requires 17 recovery days, in addition, there is a high probability of obtaining disability. Liquid breathing will allow a person safe to descend on any depth.
