This plan was recommended to create an infrastructure for testing for viruses and a large supply of personal protective equipment. Pandemic response measures included restrictions on travel and the introduction of self-insulation regime. The strategy also included special steps to prevent “Super Proliferation” infection. According to the government adviser, the British missed the chance to save tens of thousands of lives, since they did not use the document during the COVID-19 epidemic.
It is noted that at the beginning of the growth of morbidity in March 2020, the ministers began to prepare response from scratch. According to officials, no one knew about the designed plan. Instead, the authorities were partly guided by the strategy to combat pandemic flu.
Earlier it was reported that in the UK because of the coronavirus began to hospitalize young people under the age of 35. The share of young people treated for treatment has rose four times, from 5.4 to 20 percent. It is clarified that this is every fifth patient. At the same time, 32 million British have already been completely vaccinated from COVID-19.
