Court in Sudan sentenced to the death penalty of six special forces who shot unarmed students. This is reported by Alintibaha.
During the suppression of protests on July 29, 2019, six students who came to the demonstration were killed. They demanded to transfer power from military to civil force. The accusations of involvement in the murder of participants in the shares were nominated with respect to eight snipers of quick response special forces.
The court heard the testimony of witnesses and decided to pardon two accused. According to eyewitnesses, two special forces did not have arms with them. They tried to prevent the rest of the snipers shoot on demonstrators.
Special forces, where the special forces served, was subordinate to the National Security and Intelligence Service for the Armed Forces of Sudan. It has played an important role in the violent suppression of protests and in June 2019. On June 3, more than 100 people died in the capital of Sudan, the Hatum killed and about 400 were injured.
