Life helicopter crashed in the mountains of Tajikistan. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Association of Tour Operators of the Republic.
According to the Association, Mi-8 flew on August 4 to the aid of the Russians stuck in the mountains. The connection with them was lost when they climbed the glacier in the gorge of the catchment of the Vanchsky district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Before that, they managed to report that one person from the group fell under the gathering of avalanche.
The organizers of the trip applied for help to the Mining and Rescue Center with the Association of Tour Operators. On the way back the ship failed when landing on the glacier. Four passengers were injured, the pilot of the aircraft died.
The victims are sent to rescuers who will help the wounded move to a safer place where the aircraft flew out from Dushanbe can land. At the same time, search for missing tourists.
Earlier it was reported that in the Alai district of the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan near the place of exacerbation of the situation on the border with Tajikistan, the Mi-8 military helicopter was wreking. It is alleged that on board, in addition to the crew, there were employees of the special purpose division “Alpha”, it is currently known that several people were injured, the data on the presence of the dead was not received.
