According to politics, Prankers from Russia are suspected of ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin. They call high officials of other countries and publish telephone conversations on YouTube. Then Russian TV channels extend the part of these conversations from the context to submit foreign leaders and politicians in a disadvantageous light, added deputy.

By calling Linde at the end of July, Prankers introduced themselves as Julia Navalny, the wife of Alexei Navalny’s opposition (founder of the FBC, included in the register of organizations operating the functions of a foreign agent, and recognized as an extremist organization) and his assistant Leonid Volkov. During the conversation, Vovov and Lexus discussed the financial assistance of the Russian opposition with the head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry. Linde said that such support from Sweden is possible, but it is not necessary to talk about it on the phone and not with it.
On June 23, Pranker Lexus called the member of the British Parliament Chris Bryant on behalf of Leonid Volkov. He asked for a parliamentarian money to organize protests in Russia. However, Bryant replied that receiving money from a foreign state would negatively affect the image of the Russian opposition.
