Another policeman who participated in the suppression of unrest in the American Capitol, committed suicide. This is reported by CNN with reference to the department of the metropolitan police.
26-year-old Kyle Defreitaga found the dead on July 10. The officer witnessed events in the Capitol – he was sent there to contain the protesters. He worked in law enforcement agencies since 2016. Defreitag became the fourth police officer who committed suicide after the riots.
Earlier it was reported on the death of the officer of Günther Hashida. His suicide confirmed the Central Police Department of the District of Columbia. Two more police officers who participated in the acceleration of protesters, brought abuse with life in January. Dried officers Jeffrey Smith and Howard Libengud worked in Washington Police and Capitol Police.
Riots in the Capitol occurred on January 6th. Protesting against the results of presidential elections, supporting the former American leader Donald Trump, broke into the building and surrounded the Senate Hall. The Senate and the House of Representatives interrupted the meeting on which it was planned to approve the results of the selected elections. As a result of the clashes, dozens of people were detained, five people died.
