The Baltic Command Measuring point completed the work on registration of the Commus-U2 ground station placed on the Neman facility. Based on the decision of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) Experimental Design Bureau “Torch” (included in the integrated NPO Energomash of SC structure “Roskosmos”) statement issued from the register of radio electronic facilities and high frequency devices, authorizes the use of the National Assembly “Komparus-U2” till May 2023.
The station “Commus-U2” was mounted and commissioned by the Roscosmos State Corporation Commission in October 2020. It is designed to control the spacecraft, equipped with on-board equipment such as “Komparus-A” scientific, international, national economic and commercial. “Komparus-U2” radio control system provides constellation satellites, transmits commands and receives telemetry information utility. The station provides work with spacecraft in flight mode from the range from 140 km to 56 thousand km.
Design Bureau “Torch” – one of the leading companies in the development of electric propulsion systems and catalytic thermal propulsion on hydrazine, which has an industrial experience of serial and mass supply of engines in the commercial and government market segments. The share in the world production of engines for spacecraft is about 10%. To date, partners are: Iss. MF Reshetnev, RSC “Energia”, Khrunichev. M.V. Khrunichev, NPO.
