The Higher Electoral Court of Brazil, who also performs the functions of the Central Election Commission (CEC), demanded to investigate the spread of fakes by President Zhair Bryson. This is reported by TASS.
It is about misinformation regarding the vulnerability of the existing voting system. “I send a reference to the speech of the President of the Republic dated July 28, 2021 in order to identify possible criminal actions related to the investigation, known as” investigation of false news “, which is under the supervision of the Federal Supreme Court,” said the head of the Supreme Court of Louis Robert Barroso.
The petition was approved unanimously at the plenary meeting on August 2. In the mentioned speech on July 28, Bryson on the air of public television spoke about his suspicions of the honesty of presidential elections 2018 and falsifications in the first round of voting. He also demonstrated a number of video, in which the estimated vulnerability of the current system is reported, with which the Central Election Commission categorically agrees.
Earlier, July 22, the YouTube online service deleted 15 videos from the Channel of Brazil President Jair Brysar because the disinformation contained in them is about coronavirus. Representatives of the service stated that the decision to remove video is not based on ideological or political principles, but on the rules for content. YouTube noted that the rollers are forbidden to broadcast false information about diseases.
