Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin rated the costs of fighting the coronavirus pandemic in the capital. It is reported by RBC.
“We have lost 200-250 billion rubles of revenues last year. And for a year and a half we spent 350 billion on the fight against Covid: treatment, social support and business assistance,” he said.
According to Sobyanin, a coronavirus infection pandemic influences the economy of Moscow to a lesser extent. “It is much more affected by internal self-adherence and well-being. When a person is constantly in the risk area, it feels strong discomfort. And, as a reaction, many people rises the degree of negative,” he said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin appreciated the course of restoring the country’s economy from the crisis provoked by the coronavirus pandemic. “The economy is restored, the real sector of the economy is restored,” the head of state concluded. At the same time, he stressed that COVID-19 pandemic has not yet ended, and its consequences are not overcome.
