Unknowns attacked the United Nations Mission (UN) in Herat in the North-West Afghanistan. This is stated on the site mission.
According to preliminary data, one person died – a policeman. A few more people were injured, while among them there are no employees of the UN Mission. During the incident, the entrances to the building were subjected to artillery shelling and shelling jet grenades.
The representatives of the organization in Gerat believe that the attack was made by “anti-government elements” – most likely we are talking about the militants of the Radical Movement of the Taliban (prohibited in the Russian Federation). Moreover, the fighting between the Taliban and government troops occurred in the city district.
