Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Energy prepared a plan for increasing payment discipline in the Caucasus for electricity and gas. It will be launched in three Caucasus regions for a period of 3-5 years. This was told by Vice Prime Minister Alexander Novak, reports TASS.
The authorities wanted to ensure the completeness of payments and fees of payments. “Problems are all clear: these are underestimated consumption standards, unaccounted consumption, dishwasy objects, a lot of losses in the networks,” Novak said. There will be short-term programs on pilot entities, such as Dagestan and Ingushetia.
It is also planned to create settlement centers through which the accounting of accounting devices will be paid. The Deputy Prime Minister added that an inventory of the debts of the Caucasus regions for gas and electricity will be carried out in order to “understand how much to recover and how best to do it”.
Earlier it was reported that the government could not agree on solving the problem with the debts for electricity in the North Caucasus. The Ministry of Finance refused to allocate more than 16 billion rubles and suggested “Rossenets” to pay from its own funds.
State Completions needed 16.8 billion rubles to compensate for the debt of guaranteeing suppliers before power companies.
