Rosneft and Norilsk Logistics will be engaged in logistics for implementation of project “East Oil”

Rosneft and MMC Norilsk Nickel on the fields of 24 Petersburg International Economic Forum signed an agreement aimed at developing the integrated logistics service of the East Oil project. Signatures under the document set the chief executive officer of PJSC “NK Rosneft” “Igor Sechin and President of PJSC” MMC Norilsk Nickel “Vladimir Potanin.

Agreement provides, including the involvement of transport branches of a mining and metallurgical company, as well as the sharing of infrastructure of Norilsk airport. It is planned to create a new service center for servicing aviation equipment, as well as additional infrastructure for the timely and high-quality service of watch personnel and air carriers involved in the East Oil project.

Rosneft in 2020 began a full-scale development of deposits on Taimyr. The implementation of the project “East Oil” will allow you to master the unique resource potential of the region and will ensure the tasks assigned by the President of Russia to increase the cargo flow through the Northern Sea Route.

In the framework of the project, it is planned to build electrical generation facilities of about 3.5 gigawatts, three airfields, two sea terminals, 15 fishing towns, large-scale renewal of the River Infrastructure of the Yenisei.
