Due to climate change, you need to restructure up to 100 percent of the Russian economy. This was stated by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on the sustainable development of Anatoly Chubais as part of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum (PMEF). His words lead RIA Novosti.
More Chubais stressed that the point of view that climate change and the restructuring of global economic processes invented the West, completely outdated and distorts reality. “Those who are with this point of view do not understand what is happening,” he is sure.
Earlier, Chubais called the climate change with the main difficulty for the development of Russia. The former head of Rosnano is confident that it is necessary to actively develop hydrogen energy, but this task is comparable to the industrialization in the past: “For our country, it is a challenge of a tremendous scale. This is a challenge of such a scale that comparable, perhaps, only with industrialization … For me, this is not the fourth industrial revolution – this is the industrialization number two. “
Evaluating the possible losses of the country from the introduction of the transboundary hydrocarbon tax by the European Union, Chubais said that it can be about the sum of four to six billion dollars. “The consequences for Russia from the realization of all that is laid in European Green Deal, large-scale and more than 4-6 billion dollars a year,” said Chubais and added that the damage could be serious and not limited to tax payments.
