Russia ranked 11th among the most attractive foreign investment countries in Europe. This is stated in the study of the company EY, writes TASS.
In 2020, foreign investors have invested the money in the 141 project in Russia. Compared to 2019, the number of FDI (foreign direct investment) fell by 26 percent. Germany has invested the most in Russia, half of the European investment was sent to the agri-food sector, all Germany participated in 26 projects.
Last year, China and the United States were divided into second place, countries sent funds to 15 projects. In the third place with the seventh rose Italy, increasing the number of investment projects in Russia twice. France turned out to be in fourth place. In 2020, the inflow of FDI from this country exceeded 1.4 billion dollars.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian authorities allowed foreign investors to come to the country against the restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic.
