Chip deficiency record enriched their manufacturers

Revenues 10 of the world’s largest manufacturers of chips in the first quarter of 2021 record increased against the background of the global deficit of such products, testifies to the study of the TrendForce analytical company, which leads CNBC

Chips are used everywhere – from toothbrushes to cars, and many of them are directly dependent on the most important industries. TrendForce analysts note that manufacturers have activated their work in a rapid growing demand for a variety of devices, and the deficit allowed them to raise prices for their products.

Common Quarterly revenues of companies rose to $ 22.75 billion. At the same time, approximately 57 percent of revenues were accounted for at a Taiwan manufacturer – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). Trendforce analysts believe that the growth of revenues of semiconductor manufacturers will continue with the increase in prices and the preservation of demand for their products.

With a shortage of semiconductors, the world collided against the background of a coronavirus crisis: the demand for equipment has sharply increased in the pandemic, including computers required to go to remote work. The crisis has already affected the largest manufacturers of electronics and cars, and American companies appealed to the authorities with a request to allocate 50 billion dollars of subsidies for research and expanding semiconductors.

In International Business Machines (IBM), the leader in software production, believe that the prices for electronics and cars against the background of chip deficiency will grow at least until 2023
