The Russian Export Gas Pipeline “Northern Stream-2” will begin to test from the second week of June, said the governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, TASS, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
In test mode, it is planned to launch individual gas pipeline infrastructure objects located in the Leningrad region. “Yesterday there was an inspection of Russian objects on the Leningrad Earth, in Kingisepp district, which in the test mode of the next week will begin to work to prepare the launch of gas to the German side,” said Drozdenko.
According to the governor, the project for the construction of the gas pipeline “entered the finish line.” With this, he said, agreed by the former Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder, representing the German side.
