Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Pankkin, warned about the beginning of preparation for new sanctions against Moscow. His words report RIA Novosti.
According to Pankina, serious work has already been deployed against Russia. In his opinion, Moscow should counteract.
“When we talk about opposition, we should simultaneously think about readiness for new sanctions, of course, there is a list of additional measures that are held under the cloth, which will be involved in those moments, in those conditions when it is considered necessary” , – said Pankin at the State Duma meeting.
Earlier, a political analyst, the program director of the Russian Council on International Affairs Ivan Timofeev in an interview with Lente.ru “called the consequences of sanctions against Belarus for Russia. Among these, he allocated the restrictions on the EU and the United States to invest in Belarus. According to the political scientist, because of this, Minsk may ask Moscow to give “what he misses because of these restrictions.”
April 15 US President Joe Biden signed a decree on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia. It is emphasized that the new decree of Byyden is designed to give Russia to understand that it will incur “strategic and economic costs, if they continue or increase its destabilizing actions in the international arena.”
