The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia proposed manufacturers of chicken eggs and trading networks to work on direct contracts. The agency believes that this measure will help to avoid reducing production and product shortages, “Izvestia”.
Direct contracts allow the supplier and buyer to fix the price of the product for half a year or a year. So, on electronic trading in early June, the wholesale price of a dozen eggs was from 42 to 48 rubles. However, the cost of their production is 49-52 rubles, according to the information of the Rospticiasis.
At the same time, the cost of a dozen eggs in stores already reaches from 74 to 110 rubles, reported in the National Union of Poultry. The organization also offered retailers to work with direct contracts and asked to reduce retail prices to increase product turnover. With the help of these actions, it turns out to increase purchasing prices for the product.

Earlier, the Russian authorities encouraged to raise the prices of eggs. Thus, the Ministry of Industry Distribution has decided to prevent reduction in the livestock of chickens and the deficit in the future. The purchasing value of the eggs decreased due to seasonal drop in demand after Easter and cost growth.
