Due to the temporary ban on the export of buckwheat, the product deficit is not expected. Prices for this cereal will not grow. This in a conversation with the radio station “Say Moscow” said the member of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Affairs Andrei Andreychenko.
“Nothing terrible, there will be no deficit, everything is fine. This does not mean that it is necessary to run to shops and buy buckwheat, this is a temporary measure, plus there is a whole range of measures to support agriculture, the price should not grow,” He said.
According to Andreichenko, the Russian authorities will take all measures so that prices for buckwheat cereals remain at the same level, and farmers have not been injured. Parliamentarian added that it was the need for the support of domestic farmers that became determining in the decision to introduce a temporary ban on the export of cereals.
Parliamentarian is confident that domestic production is now actively developing and shows excellent dynamics. However, agriculture has never been distinguished by stability – the industry has always been “at times and regions risky”, Andrechenko believes. “To accurately there have been nothing, there are no differences in the market and rising prices, support the manufacturer, such temporary measures are taken,” he concluded.
previously became known that Russia introduced a temporary ban on the export of buckwheat until August 31, 2021. The relevant decision was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishoustin. The prohibition does not apply to goods for the provision of international humanitarian assistance, for the supply of Russian military bases abroad and organizations in Baikonur and Svalbard. Also, the prohibition will not affect transit goods.
