After more than a year of development published Release distribution kit Lakka 3.1 , allowing to turn computers, telecases or single-board computers to a full-fledged game console to start retro games. The project is modifications LIBREELEC distribution, originally designed to create domestic cinemas. Build Lakka formed for i386 platforms, x86_64 (GPU Intel, NVIDIA or AMD), Raspberry PI 1 -4, Orange Pi, Cubieboard, Cubeboard2, CubiItruck, Banana Pi, Hummingboard, Cubox-I, Odroid C1 / C1 + / XU3 / XU4, etc. To install, it is enough to record the distribution kit on an SD card or a USB drive, connect the gamepad and download the system.
Based on Lakka lies the emulator of gaming consoles Retroarch , providing the emulation a wide range of devices and supporting such extended capabilities as multiplayer games, keeping the condition, improving the image quality of old games using shaders, rewind game back, hot connecting gamepads and video streamming. Among the emulated consoles: Atari 2600/7800 / Jaguar / Lynx, Game Boy, Mega Drive, Nes, Nintendo 64 / DS, PCengine, PSP, SEGA 32x / CD, Supernes, etc. The gamepads are maintained from already available game consoles, including PlayStation 3, Dualshock 3, 8Bitdo, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 1 and Xbox360.
In a new release:
- new versions of emulators and game engines have been added.
- The composition includes new emulators: beetle-saturn, bsnes2014, snes9x2002, snes9x2005 and snes9x2005_plus.
- improved support for the Nintendo Switch and Raspberry PI boards 4.
- brought to full availability port for
ODROID XU3 and XU4 boards. - in the Retroarch package, which is updated to version 1.9.4, added support for the battery charge indication.
- Mesa package updated to version 21.1.1.
- in Dolphin and PPSSPP emulators (Raspberry PI 4, Generic 64-bit, Nintendo Switch) is enabled by the default support for the Graphic API VULKAN.
