Director of National Aeronautics and Space Research (NASA) Bill Nelson gave an assessment of a telephone conversation with the head of Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin about the prospects for cooperation. According to TASS, Nelson called the conversation productive and expressed hope for further cooperation.
“For more than 20 years, NASA astronauts and astronauts of Roscosmos lived and worked together on the ISS. NASA is committed to the continuation of a very effective partnership on the ISS,” the document says.
The head of the department also noted that it expects further discussions and joint participation with Rogozin in the Global Conference on Space Research.
Previously, Nelson called Russia a vital partner in the International Space Station and expressed hope for the continuation of Russian-American cooperation in the Space Sphere.
