In the framework of the 24th Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Sber and Volkswagen Group RUS announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding. Companies agreed on closer cooperation and work on the development of joint activities in new industries and spheres. This will allow companies to discover new markets for themselves, establish an exchange of information on development prospects and innovation, as well as increase the efficiency of own business models and processes.
In particular, the Sber will be able to provide Volkswagen Group Rus cars with its information technology, as well as to implement their solutions based on cloud technologies and artificial intelligence.
The focus of the memorandum also turned out to be startups, research and development work affecting the infrastructure of electricity. In addition, the document provides for other information and analytical support while working on joint projects.
The position of the Memorandum provides for the preparation of road maps, project implementation plans and the development of models, solutions and technologies on concrete conditions. Separately, work on ESG transformation, which provides for responsible funding, efficient use of resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, social and educational programs.
